Orlando-Last Day!

On our last day in Orlando, we had until evening to play at either Universal Studios Florida or Island of Adventure, as our flight was at about 6.30pm. Obviously we chose IOA, as we wanted to visit Harry Potter's world again, and play at the Marvel Heros section.

Vans bought at the outlet store we went the day before. Buy 1 get 50% off! So mom and I bought a pair each. Guess which one's mine? (Hint: the cooler one) ;)

Blurry picture of the last breakfast at our beloved suite! Have I mentioned how much I love bagels? I really do <3 Especially toasted ones. Pity the ones in Singapore are soo overpriced.
On a wimp Dad bought an elder wand at the souvenir shop at the entrance of IOA. About US$32? It looks so nice thought, wish it were real!

There's nothing much to write about our last day actually, since we've already gone on almost everything. We took the Forbidden Journey ride at the WWHP again :)
And we went to the Marvel Heros section where we sat the babe above^, 'The Incredible Hulk', which is known for its numerous crazy loops. It starts off as your coaster moves slowly up a dark tunnel-like area where you hear the voice of the hulk as a human ( he was a scientist) saying that he almost 'got it', then suddenly things go haywire and he screams and green lights start blinking, then it accelerates quickly and we are plummeted into the light and start looping crazily around. Crazy fun!!!! :)
We didn't have time for lunch so we decided to go for linner(lunch+dinner) at Bubba Gump's at the USF citywalk! My dad had been wanting to try that themed restaurant ( Forrest Gump-themed) selling all sorts of shrimp( such as coconut shrimp, broiled shrimp, deep fried shrimp etc)

The restaurant has this unique system where you don't call the waiters/waitresses by raising up your hand as per usual, instead you flip this sign that every table has. 'Run Forrest Run'  means everything is fine and you don't need any help.

'Stop Forrest Stop' means you need help from the waiters and you need them to stop :) Cool eh?

Menu^

Condiment bucket

This is a CUP of clam chowder. Wait till you see the bowl...
This is a BOWL of clam chowder. You can see how huge it is by the size of my dad's hand ( which is quite big too i guess :P) Now you know which to order when you dine here!

This is a seafood feast platter I think? Hush puppies ( deep fried fish croquettes with rice and some mixed veg inside, deep fried fish and deep fried shrimp of course!)

This is a cajun shrimp rice set.Really spicy!!! And saltish. But it went well with the rice :)
Halfway through our meal, a waitress came over to our table and starting quizzing us with facts from the Forrest Gump book like ' who were Forrest's best friends' etc.. But we kinda expected this as we heard her quizzing a nearby table a while before! :P We did quite well actually!

The outside of the shop

Walking back to the carpark and stopping by a souvenir shop :)

Ain't my mummy so cute <3
Then we went to the airport and flew back to Texas where we would be spending our next 2 weeks at with the extended family :)
I have awesome memories my time in Orlando, and even though one cannot live in a fairytale-like state forever, for a moment of time this place allowed me to do so :')

**For my next few posts I won't be posting what we did day by day already, and more of a summary as I don't have enough time ): **
